“Walk On Water” EMINEM feat Beyonce

Now yall know I usually do not write about any rap songs but this one is featuring Beyonce Giselle Carter Knowles so it’s a must I give the crew the details.

Well well well, it looks like EMINEM (age 45)  is doing it big and has a new single featuring the one and only Queen Bey. That is a huge accomplish because Beyonce does not just share her talent with any ole artist. You have to be someone she likes and respects within the industry to get any time for her let alone a feature on your song.

When I think of Eminem I think of intense rap that is fueled by anger. Now I know it isn’t always like that but Dungeon Dragon featuring Nicki Minaj scarred me. He went super hard in that song.

In EMINEM’s new song Walk on Water he takes a calmer approach but he still includes the key elements that makes him who he is as a rapper.

The new song starts off with Beyonce’s beautiful vocals and she immediately draws me in only the way that she does. The song as a whole talks about being great but imperfectly perfect. Bey sings about being able to walk on water but only when it freezes because she’s human and not Jesus. As a regular human we face trial and tribulations and have to find alternatives to being able to accomplish the impossible.

Bey sings

“I walk on water, but I aint no Jesus, I walk on water

But only when it freezes

Cause I’m only human just like you

Making my mistakes, oh if you only knew

I don’t think you should believe in me the way that you do

Cause I’m terrified to let you down, oh

If I walk on water, I’d drown”

EMINEM ends the song only the way that he could which is with intensity and a reminder that he was the one that wrote STAN.

“Because I’m just a man, but as long as I got a mic, I’m God like, so me and you are not alike Bitch I wrote STAN”

Overall I am feeling the song and will definitely have it on repeat, I’m trying to decide if I want to fully sing it and learn EMINEM’s verses as well. We will see how that goes. Let me know what you think of the song both of EMINEM’s return and the song as a whole.

Remember To Always Be

Fierce and Fabulous
