Recently the world lost #TerenceCrutcher. he as a 40-year-old black man who was on his way home from school when his car stalled out on the road in Tulsa Oklahoma. Recent dash cam and helicopter footage have been released to the public of his “PUBLIC EXECUTION” He can be seen on camera with his hands up when he is shot by a female police officer on the Tulsa Police Force. No weapon was found on Terence or inside his vehicle.
Additionally when listening to the helicopter footage you hear someone say that he looks like a bad dude. My question is what exactly does a “bad dude” look like. Does he always have to look like a big black man? I guess they failed to realize that bad dudes are embedded within every race and just not the black race. How can you tell if someone is bad if they have not committed a crime?
It’s painful to know that I have to associate so many Black Men with a hashtag and the #BlackLivesMatter movement. I do not want to do this but I have to simply because if I do not and if others do not bring awareness to these unjustifiable killings, police officers will be left undisciplined and the life lost will be long gone and forgotten. We must hold these police officers accountable for their actions.
I stand firmly behind the #BlackLivesMatter movement but it’s so disheartening when your voice falls upon death ears. This occurs not because you are not heard but because they don’t care, nor do they think your life was of any value and by they I mean THOSE WHO ARE BEING SILENT IN AMERICA. Every day someone leaves this earth at the hands of someone who was supposed to SERVE AND PROTECT. I honest feel like police departments have no problem giving guns to just anybody and putting these so call police officers on the street. From the looks of things, many of these police departments need to conduct re training with their force. I do not feel comfortable around any Police Officer in America, simply because THEY ALL HAVE GUNS and can simply pull the gun out and shoot me all because I possess an invisible weapon MY MELANIN. #MelaninIsFeared …
