Beyonce slays as #FloJo and Toni Braxton for Halloween 2018 along with other inspired Bey costumes

Yearly I look forward to anticipating what costume or custom look Beyoncé will rock for Halloween. Over the past few years Bey has used Halloween to pay homage to some legendary Black Women and she brought that same inspiration this year by portraying the Fastest Woman to ever walk/run this earth Florence Griffith Joyner. In the track and field world we call her  #FloJo 🏃🏿‍♀️👟

I love this look so much and this is why I adore Beyonce she pays homage consistently to our Legendary Black Queens

Born December 21, 1959 in California Flo-Jo started running at the age of 7. She was a standout track star throughout her child hood and went on to run in college at California State University at North Ridge and then she eventually transferred to UCLA. In 1988 at the Olympic Games in Seoul, South Korea Flo-Jo set the World Record in the women’s 100m (10.49) and 200m (21.34). 30 years later the World Records set by Flo-Jo are still standing #30YearsStrong 💪🏾

Now lets get into this Flo-Jo look that Beyonce pulled off. For those who did not know Flo-Jo was a true fashionista on the track from her bodysuits, dramatic nails and luscious locks homegirl was slaying the Oval Office every track meet. First of all sis NAILED IT and I literally mean that. Peep Beyonce’s nails, she even recreated the nail look that Flo-Jo rocked in her Olympic Trial photo. I love the detail of Bey’s remake and I’m so here for that bomb lace front. It’s always great to see the Queen in dark hair. I guess Halloween is the only time we are going to get it.

Beyonce literally recreated every aspect of the original photo ( bib number, the brands, and the track spikes) but hey when you’re a millionaire you can order to have it done and BOOM you get results. Lastly lets get into this BODYYYYYYYY. Y’all let me remind y’all that Beyonce is a mother of 3 children and looks damn fine. I hope to only look half this good after giving life to 3 people. Overall my sis slayed this look and I’m so here for it. Flo-Jo is my favorite track and field athlete and to see Beyonce recreate one of her iconic looks makes me so proud.

So yall know Beyonce loves her photo ops ( sis changed shoes )

Mr. Carter had to be included in the Halloween fun and it looks like he stuck with the track and field theme. Jay’s Halloween Costume pays respect to track and field athletes Tommie Smith and John Carlos. At the 1968 Olympics where Tommie and John earned Gold and Bronze medals in the Men’s 200m dash they raised their fist in solidarity with those who were fighting for human rights world wide especially back home in America with the Civil Rights Movement and desegregation going on.  The simple action of them raising their fist ✊🏾 received a lot of negative feedback but actions such as this and Colin Kaepernick’s kneeling are things that must be done to ignite the fire that can leads to change.

The american sprinters Tommie Smith,John Carlos and Peter Norman during the award ceremony of the 200 m race at the Mexican Olympic games. During the awards ceremony, Smith and Carlos protested against racial discrimination: they went barefoot on the podium and listened to their anthem bowing their heads and raising a fist with a black glove.
