I have been waiting on this news to come since the start of black history month and Beyonce blessed the world with her twins announcement.
Yes I said blessed the world because any news of LIFE is a blessing but you can not deny it is extra special coming from Beyonce herself.
Coachella has officially announced that Beyonce will not be a headlining the 2017 music festival due to doctors orders and the fact that she will be 6 months into her pregnancy.
Immediately upon hearing the announcement that Beyonce was now PregYONCE I swiftly thought about her Coachella performance and whether or not she would be able to pull it off.
I will admit I was super pissed in January when I was not able to purchase weekend 1 tickets to Coachella and I slightly forgot that everything happens for a reason and somebody was looking out for me because if I had bought tickets this particular announcement would have had me in feelings and slightly upset. As one of the Presidents of the Beyhive I love every Beyoncé performance and I would have taken her sitting down and singing any of her songs at Coachella. I do not need for her to hit 16 ( 8 counts ) to entertain me simply because her voice is amazing enough.
I’m so happy I was still able to get my 2017 fix when I saw her last weekend in New Orleans during All Star weekend.
Now to my Beyhive fam that are not happy right now. Please think about this, when the Queen committed to perform at Coachella I’m more than sure she did not know she was pregnant, but you know she’s a grown woman doing grown woman things and ish happens. I hope y’all are able to sell your tickets because I would not tolerate that Coachella crowd for anyone but Beyonce and it wouldn’t even feel right going.
I truly hope Coachella finds a great replacement for Beyonce. I suggest a strong black woman replaces her such as her sister Solange, Missy Elliot, or even Rihanna. I’m more than sure this years ticket buyers was the most diverse the music festival has ever been and Beyonce was the main reason for that along with Kendrick Lamar.
Meanwhile I’m definitely ready to purchase my tickets for next years Coachella concert this summer when the presale begins. My coins are ready for the queen’s slayage.
And once again thanks again to whoever or whatever that got in the way of me scoring Coachella tickets I appreciate that for sure. Hopefully Beyonce performs at the Tidal concert this year in Brooklyn.
