As we know Beyonce Giselle Knowles Carter is schooling life, being that she recently celebrated the one year anniversary of her phenomenal album LEMONADE, she is awaiting the birth of her twins, and she recently announced that she will be awarding four scholarships to four stand out women.
The announcement was posted on her website under the #BeyGood section and states,
“To add to the celebration of the one year anniversary of LEMONADE. Beyonce Knowles-Carter announces the establishment of Formatiom Scholars award for the 2017-2018 academic school year, to encourage and support young women who are unafraid to think outside the box and are bold, creative, conscience and confident.
Four scholarships will be awarded, one per college, to female incoming, current, or graduate students pursing studies in creative arts, music, literature, or African American studies. The schools selected for participation are Berkelee College of Music, Howard University, Parsons School of Design, and Spelman College. All details and application deadlines are available directly from your college.”
I’m so excited that Beyonce has taken the initiative to positively give back into the lives of women. She continuously amazes me with her kindness and how devoted she is to the empowerment of women. I love the example she sets and her generousity. Y’all already know what I’m going to say ….. “When Will Your Fav Ever”
I’m graduating with my first masters this May and Beyonce has me wanting to head back to school specifically Howard to apply for this scholarship, I’m just doing what she said and I’m getting in FORMATION.
